I am licensed in California and in Arizona as a Marriage and Family Therapist, CA LMFT-86418 (2015) and AZ LMFT-15414 (2019).  I earned my MA in Psychology in 2007.  From 2005-2015 I served in community mental health clinics in Arlington, Virginia, and San Francisco, California, working with people who wanted to grow and move forward despite many intense life challenges. This work and the people I met at that time continue to inspire me and my practice.

I am trained and have practiced in a wide variety of mental health conditions. My areas of greatest experience are:
  • Relationship challenges: couples counseling, relationship counseling
  • Depression and anxiety
  • Coping with chronic illness
  • Life transitions
  • Work-life balance
  • Personal stress and loss of confidence
  • Understanding and living with age-related or other dementia in loved ones
  • End-of-life issues

My approach is to evaluate with you where you are and where you’d like to be, then work with you to reach your goals. Therapy may involve an honest examination of difficult feelings and events; you may experience uncomfortable emotions at times and I will be there for you during this process. The outcome for you depends on many factors including your commitment and readiness for change and also how you feel about me. I offer an initial brief session via phone, 15-20 minutes, in which we can exchange more information and discuss some options.  This is at no charge to you and may help you make a decision. Subsequent sessions allow us to continue to see if we are working well together.

As of February 2020 I have transferred my practice to tele-therapy.
